“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness…” (Isaiah 5:20)
We are living in that exact moment. When a system rewards dishonest business practices — adulteration, retaliation, and market manipulation — it doesn’t stop at one family ranch. It paves the way for lab-grown meat, toxic waste disguised as food, and the total erosion of trust in what we put into our bodies.
“My Body Is a Temple” becomes impossible if the temple is built on lies.
This is not free-market capitalism. This is the power consolidation control grab dressed up as business as usual. And right now, one faith-driven California ranching family is exposing it in real time.
The Santa Carota Story
The Pettit family — third-generation Kern County ranchers — did everything right. They created something beautiful and innovative: grass-fed Black Angus finished on upcycled carrots from local producers. No grain, no hormones, no antibiotics, no mRNA. The result? Juicier, more nutrient-dense beef that is better for the animal, the land, the environment, and the people who eat it.
They built it on faith, values, and stewardship. Their motto is simple: feed families with integrity.
They contracted with a mid-tier processor to turn their premium trim into patties for an exclusive restaurant program. Then the manipulation began.
The Processor and the Retaliation
The processor in question is Interstate Meat Co., Inc., doing business as Sterling Pacific Meat Co. — a second-generation American family business based in Commerce, California, led by President James T. Asher. It is privately held, 100% U.S.-owned, and not part of the Big Four packers (Tyson, Cargill, JBS, or National Beef) that now control 80–85% of America’s beef. Yet even at this level, the leverage is enormous. When the Pettits confronted Sterling Pacific about allegedly mixing lower-quality or foreign beef into their premium Santa Carota product, the orders suddenly tripled and quadrupled overnight. Cattle prices were at record highs.
To meet the artificial demand, the family borrowed millions to scale up their herd. Ranching biology doesn’t bend to a processor’s spreadsheet — they couldn’t expand fast enough. They lost a 10,000-acre leased ranch, sold cattle and equipment just to survive, and eventually had to halt harvesting operations. On May 1, 2025, they filed suit in Los Angeles Superior Court (case 25STCV12807). Mediation failed.
The processor has shown no interest in settling and is fighting to put the family out of business.
The Pettits have launched a GoFundMe (“Help Save Our Family Ranch”) just to keep food on the table and the legal fight alive.
Today — exactly one year after filing the lawsuit — the family took their fight public. They replied directly to investigative journalist Lara Logan on X, who had just celebrated the Trump administration’s crackdown on foreign-owned meat-packing cartels. Their words were simple and bold: “We are suing a large meat processor right now. We should talk.”
God is exposing every hidden thing — in real time.
The Real Problem: Free Market Capitalism vs. Market Manipulation
I am all for free-market capitalism — innovation, hard work, voluntary contracts, and the reward that comes when a family like the Pettits creates something better (carrot-finished Black Angus that is juicier, more nutritious, and turns waste into value). That is the American way.
The problem here is market manipulation. When a processor allegedly mixes lower-quality or foreign beef into your premium product, then spikes orders 3–4 times overnight after you confront them, it forces the rancher into an impossible trap. Cattle prices were at record highs. The family borrowed millions to scale, couldn’t expand the herd fast enough (biology doesn’t work on a processor’s timeline), lost ranches, sold assets, and now fights just to survive while the lawsuit drags on.
This is not honest business.
It is retaliation. It is a false balance.
“A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is his delight.” (Proverbs 11:1)
“Do not rob the poor because he is poor, or crush the afflicted at the gate, for the Lord will plead their cause and rob of life those who rob them.” (Proverbs 22:22-23)
Only the strong in faith will endure these times.
This battle is both spiritual and physical.
Spiritual warfare:
We PRAISE God for His brilliant plan unfolding right now. We pray for supernatural wisdom, strength, protection, and justice for the Pettit family and every rancher and farmer standing for their God-given rights.
Physical warfare:
We break the mirage with TRUTH — layer by connected layer. We refuse the negative noise and the lowered expectations that so many are living under. God is not finished with California or with America.
God’s Trump Card: New California State (NCS)
God has already played His Trump card — New California State. Kern County is heartland NCS territory. Once Congress confirms statehood (and the resubmitted domino bills on water, land, property, tax, and energy become law), NCS can immediately shield ranchers with strong Right-to-Farm protections, anti-adulteration rules, and true sovereignty over their God-given resources.
No more corporate squeezes. No more dishonest middlemen deciding who gets to innovate and who gets crushed.
This is how we build the abundant, sovereign, “My Body Is a Temple” food supply every county needs.
Fast-Forward to Freedom 250
Put your mind on fast-forward. June 25–July 10, 2026 — Freedom 250, 16 days of celebration on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. All 50 states and territories (the 56 jurisdictions proudly displayed in the official branding) will be there. Californians drowning in bad news — stop believing the script. God is raining down miracles. We will celebrate for real — not just trying to feel excited, but with true enthusiasm for the next 250 years of transformation. “Behold, I am making all things new.” (Revelation 21:5)
The Pettit family’s fight is part of that “all things new.”
Their story belongs on the Mall as the 51st state begins to rise.
