Instead of desperately trying to hold onto a failing system, we can redirect existing 2026 funding streams (MAHA regenerative grants, CAL FIRE, Farm Bill, HHAP, and more) into three practical, compassionate tracks that give every Californian — the broken, the motivated, and the everyday family — a real chance at housing, healing, and shared prosperity.
Track 1: County Freedom Zones
For the broken, the dependent, and the struggling communities
These are the toxic dust towns, wildfire-scarred neighborhoods, sewage zones, and abandoned areas that currently drain county budgets year after year.

This track makes affordable housing a reality for millions — whether they choose a small house with a yard or an apartment in the city.
