Iron Sharpens Iron Essay #7: God Is Making All Things New — And We Are the New Things

Power Consolidation in the Matrix – Why We Must Build the New

In the previous essays we looked at factions, the sticky prestige web, the 500-year pattern of crisis and consolidation, controlled demolition signals, and the deeper structures that keep us trapped in voluntary bondage.
Today I want to bring it all together with a very real, local example that just played out in San Mateo County — one that shows exactly how power shifts and consolidates inside the current system, even when people believe they are fighting for accountability.
This is not theory. This is happening right now in our own backyard.

The San Mateo County Sheriff Story – A Textbook Example of Power Consolidation

Christina Corpus was elected Sheriff of San Mateo County in 2022 — the first Latina sheriff in county history. While she was still in office, Governor Gavin Newsom appointed her to the Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC), a powerful statewide board that sets policy, standards, and funding rules for every county jail in California.
For a period of time, she held dual power:

  • Local control over San Mateo County’s law enforcement and jail operations.
  • Statewide influence over jail policy and funding for all 58 counties.

When allegations of misconduct surfaced (creating a high-level position for a close personal associate and retaliation against deputies who raised concerns), the Board of Supervisors referred the matter to the civil grand jury.

In March 2025 voters passed Measure A in a low-turnout special election (84% yes). Measure A gave the BOS the power to remove an elected sheriff for “cause” by a 4/5 vote.
In October 2025 the BOS used that newly granted authority to remove Corpus from office.
Important detail: The new Sheriff, Kenneth Binder, did not automatically inherit the BSCC seat. That state-level power stayed at the state level.
Meanwhile, the Board of Supervisors already controls the county budget — meaning they control the purse strings of the very office that is constitutionally supposed to enforce the law and run the county jail.
This is classic matrix power consolidation: the Governor elevates a local elected official to a state board, the BOS gains new removal power over an independently elected constitutional officer, and real authority shifts upward rather than returning to the county level.

The Pattern Goes Even Deeper

Look at what is happening at the state level. Assemblymember Mia Bonta (wife of Attorney General Rob Bonta) authored the so-called “Stop Nick Shirley Act,” which critics say is designed to shield certain actors from public scrutiny and investigation. At the same time, the Attorney General’s office has been involved in efforts that many see as targeting or delaying conservative sheriffs like Chad Bianco of Riverside County — including investigations that affected his placement on election ballots.
If they can have their way, the same mechanisms used in San Mateo County could easily be turned against any sheriff who does not align with the current regime.
The system has now set a precedent: an elected constitutional officer can be removed by the legislative body if enough political pressure is applied and enough propaganda is deployed.
This is the matrix adjusting in real time — calling evil good and good evil, just as the Bible warned in Isaiah 5:20.

We Are Living in the End Times

The drama unfolding in California — grand juries, special elections, power shifting between governor, attorney general, boards of supervisors, and sheriffs — is becoming so dramatically crazy that it reads like the very pages of Scripture.
Human minds are being manipulated at a level I could never have imagined before living through these years.
Most grassroots patriots right now are focused on the next governor race (61 candidates), the next midterm, the next recall, the next grand jury, or the next “fix” inside the collapsing system. They keep hoping the next person in the big chair will finally save us.
I asked a friend recently: “If the new governor really has that much power to fix everything… isn’t that too much power?
That question exposes the trap. We are still looking for a savior inside the matrix instead of building something outside of it.

God Is Making All Things New — And We Are the New Things

This is exactly why New California State is not just another reform movement trying to patch the collapsing system.
NCS is building something New:

  • True county sovereignty under the restored 1849 Constitution.
  • County senators as constitutional steward captains whose first duty is to protect their county from state and federal overreach.
  • A parallel kingdom economy on restored land where urban, suburban, and rural thrive together as one.
  • Power flowing upward from the people → sovereign counties → coordinating state, not top-down from Sacramento.

We do not need to keep fighting for scraps inside the old system. We are called to build the New.

Iron sharpens iron. This is my seventh essay in the series. Each one is meant to help us see the matrix more clearly so we can step out of it and build what God is making new. I look forward to the honest conversations ahead. Let’s keep sharpening.
